Education
We love to work with educators to create projects that really fit the bill! Whether we’re helping students flashmob the school canteen, creating a Musical in a Day, using music to help shape Young Leaders, delivering 1-1 and group sessions with SEN children, providing vocal technique sessions to individuals, choirs and musical theatre stars, or simply helping with some staff CPD, we’re always open to discussions about how we can help your school maximise its musical offering.
Our education work often puts health and wellbeing, nature, science, arts and musical inspiration at their core. ‘The Journey to the Ugly Bug Ball’ is a project that ranges from a 1 day workshop to an 11 week programme where children are encouraged to sing, craft and explore the natural world before putting on performances in playgrounds, woods, parks or gardens. In 2021 we are delivering a number of ‘world music’ projects to coincide with the Olympics, and of course we are on hand to deliver large scale ‘Big Sing’ events as communities are able to come back together – with one voice!
To help us with our delivery, we have our own portable equipment including a PA system, electric piano, microphones, cameras etc and we are well used to working in single classrooms, school halls and playing fields. 2020 saw us delivering a number of projects remotely and we are able to offer live streams and broadcasts too. Wherever you are, we can help you come together in song.
The Come and Sing Company love to work with partners to create bespoke projects that fit their requirements. Here are some examples of some of the things we have done for schools, hubs and youth organisations across the U.K.
Bespoke projects that bring together a wide range of cross-curricular activities and year groups e.g. music and nature, music and religion, music and science, music and healthy living. Whatever knowledge you are passing on in the classroom, we can create a musical experience to match.

This afternoon we were treated to a fantastic workshop with Ellie, one of the professional singers with ‘The Come and Sing Company’.
Her enthusiasm, knowledge and energy were amazing! She soon had reluctant music and drama students leading the rehearsal sections of the afternoon and taking ownership of their performance.
The planning process was detailed and professional. From the initial email and phone conversations to a fully timed action plan for the afternoon, every detail had been thought through. This doesn’t mean Ellie wasn’t flexible! In fact tweaks were made during the afternoon, reflecting the progress of the students.

“Ellie is full of fun and enthusiasm which is very infectious. We all love these sessions and have learnt different techniques which we all feel confident to try. She has been an integral part of our choir journey… encouraging teaching, modelling and providing new experiences for the children.”
