Sing to Change
A global project uniting young people through the power of song.
Sing to Change: Boston 2 Boston unites young people with the common goal of raising awareness of the global climate emergency and encouraging people to take action in response.
Boston Children’s Choir in Boston, Massachusetts (USA) and schoolchildren from Boston & East Lindsey in Lincolnshire (UK) are creating a video performance of Dane Myers’ song ‘Change’– specially arranged for choirs of children. Reaching over 1500 young people from across the world, this project allows our youth to use music as a form of protest and assert their opinions in an easily accessible way.
The project culminates in the creation of several professional musical, cultural and social experiences for school children, alongside a music video and documentary legacy film. We aim for this project to be replicated internationally, allowing as many young people as possible to have their say through the common language of song.
Choir rehearsals started in November 2023, and we aim for the cross-Atlantic performances to be shared at a private screening on the 21st March 2024 and a worldwide release to follow on 22nd March 2024 – World Water Day.
